What We've Been Up ToA little rain hasn't dampened our busy calendar. February's Out & About was a studio day creating handmade greeting cards led by our own master card maker. In March we visited Recology's Sonoma Recycling Center where we got a firsthand look at the mountains of bottles, cans, paper and waste that this amazing center handles daily. As always, Interest Groups are flourishing, so be sure to check out the many engaging opportunities. |
Community ServiceOne of the most satisfying and enjoyable things we do is participate in Community Service outings. The groups and tasks vary -- from filling portions at food banks, to shop-alongs for local students, to collecting supplies and donations for displaced doggies from the LA fires (a public "thank you" to our local Safeway stores for very generous dog-destined donations!). Every organization we help is local, so schedules and activities vary throughout the year. Check the newsletter for the next opportunity to serve. These are feel-good days for everyone involved! |
About UsWe are non-profit, non-political, non-agenda. Our club has a nucleus of energy that has burned bright for over 70 years. There is no other group like it. It shatters beliefs that we might be “too old” to make new friends or try new things. Come see for yourself. |
