Next Luncheon MeetingLike clockwork: Our Luncheon Meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month. There’s always a delicious meal, a fascinating speaker/program and an occasional fashion show plus “business-as-usual.” If you are curious or considering joining Newcomers, this is a great way to check us out.* Members, log in to sign up for the next luncheon. What We've Been Up ToOur summer Salsa Fiesta party was fun and festive. There were street tacos, margaritas, photo-ops and oh yes, salsa dancing & lessons! The music was lively and the mood was festive as Newcomers took to the floor. This spring was quite special: we enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and tour at the SRJC Culinary school and visited the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens. Also we had a fun outing at the Sonoma County Library's Pressed Flower Workshop making bookmarks, greeting cards and refrigerator magnets and more. All events are open to all members, so join the fun! We'll see you soon! |
Community ServiceOne of the most satisfying and enjoyable things we do is participate in Community Service outings. The groups and tasks vary: filling boxes at food banks, conducting shop-alongs for local students, making gift baskets for The Living Room, and preparing food for the Ceres Community project which makes medically tailored meals for individuals facing serious illnesses in Sonoma County. Every organization we help is local, so schedules and activities vary throughout the year. Check the newsletter for the next opportunity to serve. These are feel-good days for everyone involved! |
About UsWe are non-profit, non-political, non-agenda. Our club has a nucleus of energy that has burned bright for over 70 years. There is no other group like it. It shatters beliefs that we might be “too old” to make new friends or try new things. Come see for yourself. |
